I use a USB drive in a TV to show announcement slideshows. All the stuff the Mac puts on the drive had to be deleted by hand… very time consuming with TV remote. This app lets me eject my drive clean and free of that junk the TV sees. Works very slick!

a great way to empty the trash on EXTERNAL drives … cause the trash can can be extremely slow at it this is quick and easy

Simple, straight-forward, and does its job

With all the benefits of having a clean drive, this app also adds a benefit when connecting the drives between windows and apple opperating systems by reducing the amount of system files visible to the user, since they are cleaned out. Very needed app and use it all the time!

Well designed and functional app for emptying trash on external USB drives, as well as keeping them free of OSX hidden files for use on other devices, such as Smart TVs, Media Players, etc.

I’ve been waiting for an application like this that’s compatible with El Capitan so I can easily remove junk files and eject my external drives and download .DMGs. It’s perfect, have had for at least a couple months now, and no problems with it. Works exactly as I expected it to. :)

This app performs well as described. I use a docking station & it keeps the junk cleaned from my drives, I no longer spend time doing such trivial matters.

I used this app from inception and was VERY happy with it. Saw version 2 and the additional functionality and was looking forward to using these as well. I did not expect the ADD WARE though and it is not mentioned anywhere. TAKE IT OUT or loose another user of your software. End of song!!!!

The app works really well at what it does but seriously with the ads? I ‘x’ them out and figure that’s that, they’re just trying to get word out about their other products, no big deal it won’t be back. Right? WRONG! Every other day the ads return. Why? I understand you have other apps. I’m not interested as I don’t need them. Why the constant ads? Previous version never did this, it’s utterly annoying.

I can easily drag & drop files and folders to any storage device. Select, drag, drop, done! With one click this app also checks my storage devices for junk and cleans it out before ejecting. I love this app!

i liked it before the improvements….now i really like it. Based on the basic attributes of this app, I believe it should come standard with macbook utility. More importantly, they fixed my biggest complaint and it is now able to "sweep around" a time machine backup housed on an external HD.

Works perfectly, some other computers don’t like the extra files Mac lays down on removable devices. This program cleans them all.

CleanMyDrive was an amazing utility to have. CleanMyDrive 2 is even better, bringing features to the table I didn’t even know I needed. Sure, it had a few bugs when it first launched, but what app doesn’t. These guys fixed up the problems in no time, and it’s one of the mac utilities I simply can’t live without. And the best part, it’s completely FREE! Thanks MacPaw for such an awesome product :)
